Capacity Building on Data Management for ALFOPED Staff, Research Assistants and Project Volunteers

A two days training was conducted on 16th and 17th August 2022, for 23 participants (Male 10, Female 13) who are staff and volunteers equip them with skills\knowledge of data management, information sharing, data security and protection which is a core priority of the Foundation. The trainees also received increased abilities to develop data flow, monitoring charts that can enable them to visualize and create datasets for purpose of analysis and communication.

Additionally, the significance of results-based management (RBM) as key to assessing the performance of a project/program (or an organization) on the basis of the impacts and benefits (results) that it is expected to produce was also touched on. The Foundation’s staff, research assistants and volunteers understood the elements of the RBM model including the goals, outcomes, outputs, activities and inputs used for both implementation monitoring and results monitoring. Overall, the trainees reported increased skills and abilities in data management.
